Vulnerable families in KC need you now

The Gold Team is one of six home care teams at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care. With support by the inpatient teams at Kansas City Hospice House and NorthCare Hospice, our home care teams offer expert, compassionate care to 12 counties in the Greater Kansas City area.

In a matter of days, vulnerable families in Kansas City have seen their lives turned around by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those of us on the front lines of healthcare stand with the patients and families we serve in this time of uncertainty.

How will we keep ourselves and our loved ones safe? What is our new normal? How will the most vulnerable among us be protected and cared for?

Our collective experience in responding to this pandemic continues to evolve. But one thing we know for sure – the work of Kansas City Hospice does not and cannot stop. It remains as vital and necessary as ever.

As a nonprofit healthcare provider, our ability to meet the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community depends on you – our community.

Support from our generous donors has helped us respond rapidly and effectively to this health care crisis by allowing us to purchase additional personal protection equipment (PPE) and technology. We must ensure patients and families have what they need to stay connected and receive the care they depend on. We have also adjusted our processes to ensure patients and families who have basic needs such as food and utilities – as well as emotional connection and grief support – have not been forgotten.

There is still more to do, and we need you now more than ever.

Will you please help us to meet this immediate healthcare need? Mrs. Patricia Burton will DOUBLE your gift to this urgent appeal. READ HER STORY HERE. We are so grateful for her generosity and for you, as this truly is a community effort.
