Our Commitment to Kansas City – KC’s original hospice, leader in supportive care at any stage of illness, serving the greater Kansas City area since 1980. Local leadership keeps our focus on caring for our community with expertise and compassion. | Unmatched expertise – Our award-winning palliative care experts include board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners and five teams of RNs, social workers, chaplains, CNAs, art/music therapists and grief support specialists. | Unparalleled volunteers – More than 300 dedicated volunteers work to bring such a breadth of services to patients and families. They assist the care teams, work to grant wishes, provide special services to veterans and even care for pets in times of need. |

A place almost like home – When care is too complicated to take place at home, Kansas City Hospice House™ and NorthCare Hospice House provide a quiet and safe haven for patients and families alike. |
Still nonprofit – Our focus is on caring for our community instead of maximizing our bottom line. Our commitment is to care for all ages at all stages of serious illness, making sure the whole family receives support all along the way. (Consumer Reports thinks this is the most important point in choosing a hospice!) |
Dedicated care team for children – It takes special skills and special hearts to care for seriously ill children and their families. Carousel Pediatric and Perinatal Team can start working even before birth to make sure whatever time a child has here with us is full of love. |
Comprehensive grief and counseling services – In addition to our expert grief support specialists, we offer many ways for youth, individuals and families to find comfort during and after a loss.
- Solace House is the Midwest’s premier center for grief and healing, supporting individuals and families who’ve been impacted by the death of a loved one, whether anticipated, or sudden and unexpected. We provide opportunities to share, listen, learn and heal with peer group support from age 3 through adult.
- Passages offers counseling for stress, healing from the pain of past trauma, and moving into a healthier lifestyle. Illness, pain, loss, caregiving and aging are some of the transitions that can create emotional challenges.
- Camp Erin is a day and are weekend grief camps for children and families. It’s a chance to relax and find strength from others experiencing similar pain and loss.
