Kansas City Hospice House™

A home away from home when facing serious illness

At Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, we believe the end of life is a sacred time for families to spend together in comfort and peace.

Hospice care is usually provided in the familiar surroundings of home. When a person’s medical needs become too complicated to manage at home, however, or when families become understandably overwhelmed by their caregiving duties, Kansas City Hospice is here to help.

Here, your family will find caring, expert staff and volunteers who anticipate your needs and a warm, welcoming environment with comfortable spaces and beautiful, expansive surroundings.

At Kansas City Hospice House™ we offer three options for care, providing the right level of support for you and your loved one. These include general inpatient care (GIP), routine inpatient care, and respite care.

Expert care when you need it most

We help you focus on your relationship, your loved one and your time together. Our expert physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers take care of everything else.

Kansas City Hospice care teams are leading experts in ensuring patient comfort and treating distressing symptoms including uncontrolled pain, shortness of breath and anxiety. We provide around-the-clock care to ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social needs are met, as well as those of their family members.

Many patients have a medical need for a short inpatient stay before returning home. Others may decide that, at the end of life, they would rather not be at home. And some families may wish to step back from their caregiving role and simply spend time together as a family.

When more care is needed than can be provided at home, Kansas City Hospice House offers compassionate care in a welcoming, comfortable setting. Call for a tour or visit us virtually:
