Grief Support Camps

Space is limited and early application is recommended. The camp experience is designed for children and teens who are several months past their loss at the time of camp. Families will be notified about acceptance to camp as space permits.

Applications are first come, first serve and camp interviews are required to participate. If you have participated in our camp program previously, your family will be placed on a waiting list. Eluna is a public, 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to support children and families impacted by grief or addiction. Founded in 2000 in Seattle by former MLB pitcher Jamie Moyer and child advocate Karen Phelps Moyer, Eluna was originally called The Moyer Foundation and launched a series of programs supporting thousands of children and families annually at no cost to them. Thanks to funding from Eluna and generous donations from the community and volunteers, there is no charge to attend Camp Erin.

Its straightforward design makes it easy to search for articles, videos, activities, and referrals to local programs. In addition, Eluna offers free personalized recommendations with a 24-hour turn-around.

KCH grief camps are supported by grants and donations from people who share a common interest in providing support for grieving children and teens. Your individual contribution of money, supplies or time will be most welcome. See below for links to Make an Impact.

Volunteer Opportunities

Big Buddy: As a Big Buddy, you will provide our campers one-on-one support and companionship throughout the camp weekend. You will be a source of comfort and encouragement, helping them navigate their grief journey.

Activities Team: Like crafting or outdoor activities? Consider becoming a member of our activity team. Whether it's leading painting, cutting, gluing, or taping, you can contribute to creating a powerful and engaging camp experience.

Support Team: Help keep the camp running smoothly by providing general support where needed, your dedication behind the scenes ensures the camp weekend is successful and impactful for all.
