On Veterans Day, November 11, 2015, VFW Post 8100 raised a new flag at the Kansas City Hospice House™ in memory of long-time volunteer, Norm Rich, who was a WWII veteran and member of their post. The flag was donated by the family of a KCHH patient, who noticed the old frayed flag and wanted to give something in memory of their loved one. VFW members and KCHH staff visited several veterans in residence, presenting them with pins to honor their service. Both KCHH and NorthCare Hospice House have special programs for veterans as part of the We Honor Veterans program.
