Founded in 2003, Angels of Kansas City Hospice is a group of dedicated volunteers who devote time and energy to raising funds that support the programs and services of Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
The first event was the Hospice Hop, organized as part of the fundraising effort to build Kansas City’s first hospice house. Since that first event, the Hospice Hop and then the Angel Gala became the top fund raising effort for Kansas City Hospice. For the past two years, the event has been called Sunday Night Live.
2018 marks the 15th year of our annual event.
We’re raising money for all things Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, including: the Kansas City Hospice House™, NorthCare Hospice House, Solace House, Camp Erin, Camp Carousel, Kansas City Palliative Home Care, Carousel Pediatric & Perinatal Programs, and much more.
Sunday Night Live will take place in the heart of The Power Light District.

“My husband and I got involved when we were asked us to help on the Angel Gala. It did not take much convincing, David’s mom was diagnosed with a cancer at the early age of 50 and we didn’t know where to turn. Sure enough, Kansas City Hospice came in like angels and helped us through the grueling process. We were so thankful …it was all we could do back was give back to this incredible organization. We love the people on the committee and have become personal friends along the journey.” —Jill S.
“I chose to become involved with fundraising for Kansas City Hospice for many reasons. My friend had Hospice when her mother died. Hearing her describe the nurses and other caregivers touched my heart forever. When the time comes to lose someone we love so very much, having Hospice reach out for care, emotional support, love and understanding is truly a gift. I began to think how amazing Hospice is and how I would love to help others in their time of sorrow and pain. I have learned so much and heard many wonderful stories from friends who have turned to Kansas City Hospice from my recommendation. I am thankful for this organization and feel blessed to be involved in giving back this way.” —Vicki W.
