Volunteer at NorthCare Hospice House

Unique opportunities are available to volunteer at NorthCare Hospice House, located at 2800 Clay Edwards Drive, on the campus of North Kansas City Hospital. The inpatient facility provides a homelike environment and expert care for seriously ill people who are unable to stay at home. Volunteering at the hospice house is often a good option for working adults as our inpatient unit is open 7 days a week including holidays.  Opportunities are available in the evenings and on weekends.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Arranging flowers
  • Preparing welcome bags for new patients and families
  • Administrative assistance
  • Staffing the hospitality desk to answer guests’ questions and assist them
  • Special projects
  • Cookie baking
