Become an Office Volunteer

If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, organized and independent, consider becoming an office volunteer. Volunteers can make a difference by helping with the daily operations of Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care in an office or administrative role. Opportunities include helping with administrative tasks, such as filing, preparing mailings and other office work. If you have computer database skills, such as familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Raiser’s Edge, special jobs are available.

Although most office volunteers work at the Main Office or at Kansas City Hospice House, some opportunities are available at our offices in North Kansas City and Overland Park. There are locations around the metro area.

Office volunteers usually are assigned to a job in a specific department, and can enjoy pride in ownership of the job and a sense of accomplishment. Orientation to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and training for your specific volunteer job is provided.

Whether you’re  available on a regular schedule or only for a short time, there are many ways to help that are truly appreciated. It might be something as simple as putting together information packets, or something more challenging to use your expertise.

If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, organized and independent, consider volunteering for office or administrative assistance. Fill out our interest form online and receive more information about office volunteer opportunities, or call 816-276-2640.
