Become an Office Volunteer

If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, organized and independent, consider becoming an office volunteer. Volunteers can make a difference by helping with the daily operations of Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care in an office or administrative role. Opportunities include helping with administrative tasks such as filing, preparing mailings and other office work. If you have computer database skills, such as familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Raiser’s Edge, special jobs are available.

Although most administrative volunteers work at our Main Office at 90th and State Line Rd. in KCMO, remote opportunities are available. Administrative volunteers usually are assigned to a job in a specific department, and can enjoy pride in ownership of the job and a sense of accomplishment. Orientation to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and training for your specific volunteer job is provided.

Whether you’re  available on a regular schedule or only for a short time, there are many ways to help that are truly appreciated. It might be something as simple as putting together information packets, or something more challenging to use your expertise.

For a list of current openings, see our Volunteer Application. If you have a skill or talent you’d like to share that’s not listed, please call 816-941-1095 or email kchvolunteers@kchospice.org.
