Community events, special events and fundraisers offer volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups to meet new people, provide one-time or project-oriented support, be creative and help fulfill Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care’s mission to reach out to the community.
Events include the annual Circle of Lights memorial event in May, and Sunday Night Live in late September or early October. Volunteers help in a variety of ways, which include:
- Being part of an event planning committee
- Greeting guests at special events
- Helping with registration
- Displaying auction items
- Setting up or cleaning up
