Solace House Support Groups

Support Groups

Solace House Center for Grief and Healing is designed to be a nurturing place to guide children and adults through the difficult time following the death of a loved one, whether sudden and unexpected or anticipated.

  • Support group facilitators guide children, families and adults as they make their way through the grieving process.
  • Children ages 4 through 18 join groups specific to their age.
  • Adults join groups based on their type of loss (e.g.: partner loss, suicide loss).
  • Grief activities are research-informed and designed to help families honor their grief journey, develop coping strategies, and hold on to the precious memories of their loved one.
  • Includes grief-related art projects, writing exercises, play activities, and music therapy.

“I seek strength to carry on.

I seek courage to move beyond pain.

I seek faith to believe happiness will come again.

Solace is my goal.

I can find it.

I can help others discover it.”
