Solace House Video Wins a PRISM Award

Kansas City Hospice + Solace House received the 2018 Silver Award for Solace House – 20 years,  20,000 lives.

 

On hand to accept the award were Lisa Farmer, Director of Grief Programs for Kansas City Hospice, Kiran Chandra, Director of Corporate and Community Engagement for Kansas City Hospice, and David Moore, Videographer, RPM Media.

 

We celebrated the 20th anniversary of Solace House earlier this year. The original founders were joined by many long-time supporters and volunteers, families who have been served over the years and community leaders. “The main mission of Solace House is to provide hope for grievers,” stated Lisa Templeton-Farmer, Program Manager. “That they see how they’re feeling is not how they’re always going to feel. That it may take longer than they wanted, it may be harder than they want it to be, but there is hope for the future. They can find joy again.”

Grief impacts every family at some point. At Solace House, we provide resources for every family member from age 3 through adult. We can help regardless of a family’s financial situation.
