The first step in the admissions process at Kansas City Hospice House is to call us at 816.363.2600. You, a family member, your physician or another medical professional may call to inquire.
A nurse will visit you, provide an assessment, and speak with you and your family about all of the options that are available to you.
On the day you arrive, our staff will meet with you and your family members so that everyone can get acquainted with the facility.
Services are usually covered by Medicare, Medicaid and some private insurance policies. Please be ready to provide insurance information as soon as possible. For people with commercial insurance as a primary payer, pre-authorization may be required before admission and we will assist you in that process.
As a not-for-profit organization, Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is dedicated to serving all in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Our staff will assist families in determining reimbursement or the need for assistance.
