Every one of us deserves meaningful music experiences with the people we love and the people around us:  Soundscaping Source is dedicated to ensuring that all older adults have access to these meaningful music experiences, to help older adults, caregivers, and eldercare professionals find joy and connection in music.

Music is integral to the fabric of our lives.  That means music can make a significant impact in the lives of the people we serve in healthcare settings no matter what cognitive or physical limitations may get in the way, all the way to the end of life. Whether you are seeking better self-care or sleep, a music therapist or a music lover, dealing with dementia or other illness, come and experience music in a new way.  Learn practical skills for using music in your healthcare setting and get an overview of the music therapy scholarship that explains why music helps so many people.  No musical skill required!

Finding Joy starts here.  Join us to learn about resources and support for all kinds of people who want music in their lives, especially in care giving settings and post-retirement life.  We are all aging,  we all deserve music and we’re all in this musical journey together.

Continuing Education Objectives:

  1. Participants will name three reasons why music can be an effective tool in healthcare for older adults.
  2. Participants will describe why certain music material may be especially helpful or potentially harmful for different client populations.
  3. Participants will name three practical ways to use music in their own clinical setting.
