April Community Education Series: The Use of Rituals in Grief & Healing

April 27, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

with Lisa Templeton-Farmer, MA, Counseling Psychology
KCH Community Education & Engagement Coordinator

REGISTER TODAY to join us on Thursday, April 27 from noon to 1 PM.

Lisa will discuss with you how rituals can involve multiple elements like public ceremonies, religious services or formal music, but there are also many other possibilities you may not have considered. Rituals can also be personal, intimate and creative. People missing a loved one who has died often use rituals without even recognizing them as such. For instance:

  • Do you share memories of your special person with others?
  • Do you include them in a blessing or toast at a family dinner?
  • Is there a song, poem or photograph you like to focus on and think of them?

All these activities can provide comfort while maintaining your thoughts and connection to those you miss. During this webinar, we will explore these and other types of rituals that enhance connection, healing and peace. Click Here to Register

The Community Education Series consists of a one-hour Zoom session that starts at noon. Each session offers time for Q & A for further discussion.
